Calibrate RTD and thermistor inputs.

Technician calibrating a PID temperature controller: ohmSTAR clipped to its RTD input, reading 100.00 °C and 138.51 ohms

Set a Pt100 or Pt1000 temperature on the keypad. ohmSTAR outputs the matching resistance and shows both values. Compare that with what your controller reads, then move to the next point.

  1. Select the sensor table.
  2. Enter the temperature, or turn the encoder to step through points.
  3. Read the device under test. Repeat.

Pressure calibration works the same way when the pressure sensor or sender is resistive: load a custom table of pressure against ohms, then dial the pressure and the box sets the matching resistance.
